Cast (in order of appearance)

The Scary Cow - that's me! A librarian in the making and writing this blog as a study evasion technique.

Doc - an overworked doctor who's jacked in her job and gone off to find herself.  Currently either skiing or hiding in her parents' house in the south of Ireland.

Michel Foucault - a bit of a boring bastard according to Wandering Aengus.

Rudolf Steiner - a loveable maniac, mystic and explorer of the spiritual realm.

Wandering Aengus - a learned man who rings at antisocial hours to dispense his words of wisdom and complain about his love life.

Ken Wilber - a megalomaniac outside philosopher, snubbed by the academy, yet with very interesting things to say about the evolution of consciousness and integral theory.  The main problem is that he's written too much - thousands and thousands and thousands of pages - and hasn't said anything new in a while.  It's time to shut up, Ken.

Madame Blavatsky - a 19th century Theosophical teacher who wrote a lot (3 whole feet!) about esotericism, religion, mythology, philosophy, secret doctrines, the path, occultism, etc.  Yeats was a bit of a fan.  Other keywords:  The Theosophical Society, The Esoteric Society, hmmm, more to follow as I learn more about her.

Mark Patrick Headtheball, a.k.a. Mark Patrick Hederman - there's something fascinating about this guy!  He's the maverick abbot of Glenstall Abbey in Ireland who wrote a weird book called Walkabout: Life as Holy Spirit in which he recounts his attempts to follow the signs of the Holy Spirit in making his course through life.  It's a wonderful premise for a book, but the resultant work is disappointingly dull.  Still though, I'd have him over Wilber at a dinner party.
